Mets Kevin Pillar takes 94 MPH fastball to the face, recovering with facial fractures

New York Mett Kevin Pillar took a 94 mph fastball to the face Monday night on a high and inside pitch thrown by Atlanta Braves’ Jacob Webb. Pillar was able to walk off the field, but will be checked on Tuesday by doctors in Atlanta. Initial reports say Pillar suffered multiple nasal fractures.

Pillar later tweeted that he’s ok, “Thanks to everyone that has reached out! Scary moment but I’m doing fine!”
