Perth Amboy scratch-off ticket wins $500K top prize in Winter Ice game

PERTH AMBOY, NJ – A newly released New Jersey Lottery scratch-off game has already produced a major winner after a Middlesex County player claimed a $500,000 prize from the Winter Ice ticket.

The $10 winning ticket was purchased at EZ Pick, located at 279 Smith Street in Perth Amboy, and was confirmed last week as one of only two available top prizes in the game.

Winter Ice is among the latest additions to the state’s rotating lineup of scratch-off games, and with this half-million-dollar win, only one top prize remains unclaimed. The lottery has not released the name of the winner, who has officially claimed the payout.

The game’s launch is part of the New Jersey Lottery’s seasonal offerings that are refreshed throughout the year to maintain public interest and engagement. With another top prize still out there, interest in Winter Ice is expected to remain high.

Since its founding in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has contributed nearly $34.7 billion to the state’s programs and services. Lottery revenues are currently directed toward the public employee pension fund under a long-term agreement signed into law in 2017.
