ORANGE COUNTY, NY – Last Thursday, Angelica “Jelly” Rodriguez, 39, entered a guilty plea on charges related to a large-scale narcotics operation known as “Operation Hide in Plain Sight.”

Rodriguez accepted charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy, with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office recommending a sentence of 10 years in prison, followed by three years of post-release supervision.

This plea is the culmination of a two-year investigation by the City of Middletown Police and the Orange County Drug Taskforce into cocaine trafficking in the area.

After conventional methods fell short, court-ordered eavesdropping was employed, uncovering Rodriguez’s role in a broader narcotics network extending to Port Jervis.

The prosecution of this case is handled by Assistant District Attorney Alexis Gregory.
