Middletown Shooting Incident Under Investigation

MIDDLETOWN, OH – Middletown SWAT team responded to a shots-fired call on Thursday morning in the 8300 block of Hendrickson Road. The call was received around 8 a.m., according to Police Chief David Birk.

Upon arrival, the SWAT team discovered an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his leg. The victim was transported to Atrium Medical Center and is reportedly uncooperative with the police investigation.

Chief Birk stated that no individuals were found inside the apartment where the shooting occurred.

A search, including a crawl space that connects all four apartments in the building, yielded no additional persons.

The identity of the injured man has not been disclosed by the police, and it remains unclear if there are any other parties involved in the shooting.
