MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA—A 41-year-old man from Yardley, identified as Daniel R. Pierson, faces multiple charges following a distressing incident at Redner’s Market.

The Middletown Township Police Department arrested Pierson for attempted rape and kidnapping on Wednesday night.

The sequence of events began at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when officers responded to a call at the market located at 1361 Lincoln Highway. The victim reported that shortly after parking, a man grabbed her, attempted to drag her to his truck, and assaulted her. The suspect fled after she resisted and screamed for help. Thanks to evidence from a license plate reader, Pierson was identified and located within 24 hours of the incident. He was arraigned and is currently held on $1 million bail at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
