Million Dollar Powerball Ticket Sold in Snow Hil

SNOW HILL, MD – A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in Worcester County, along with a $50,000 ticket in Cecil County, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The $1 million ticket was purchased at Duck In II Convenience, located at 5610 Market Street in Snow Hill. This marks the fourth time a second-tier $1 million Powerball ticket has been sold in Maryland this year.

The $50,000 ticket was sold at Wesley’s Restaurant, situated at 3700 Telegraph Road in Elkton. It is the 52nd third-tier Powerball ticket sold in Maryland this year.

The winning numbers for the Sept. 27 drawing were 1, 7, 46, 47, and 63; the Powerball number was 7, with a Power Play multiplier of X3. A total of 43,138 Maryland residents won prizes in the drawing.

As no one matched all the numbers, the Powerball jackpot will roll over to an estimated $925 million, with a cash value of $432.4 million for the upcoming Saturday night’s drawing. This is the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot and the ninth-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.

The last Powerball jackpot win in Maryland occurred on Jan. 20, 2021, with a $731.1 million ticket sold in Allegany County.

Lottery officials urge winners to sign their tickets and keep them in a secure location. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Instructions for claiming are available through the Maryland Lottery.
