LAKEWOOD, NJ – A woman and her 4-year-old daughter were reported missing in Lakewood on Friday and later found inside the township safely.
The Lakewood Police Department, in collaboration with various community volunteer organizations launched a search campaign for a 34-year-old Lakewood mom and her young child.
The woman, who was believed to be accompanied by her 4-year-old daughter and was last seen walking east on 5th Street in Lakewood. She was wearing a dark-colored sweater, a long skirt, and a hair wrap, while her daughter was dressed in a blue dress and multi-colored croc-style shoes.
Police believed they could have been heading to New York City.
Captain Gregory Staffordsmith later confirmed the woman was found safely with her child.
