Mobile Dance Pary Ends with DUI Arrest in North Stafford

Police cruiser at the scene.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—A unique scene unfolded in North Stafford yesterday afternoon, leading to a DUI arrest after a mobile dance party in an SUV was stopped by law enforcement. The incident occurred on July 18 at 2:14 PM on Courthouse Road near Dent Road.

Deputy S.C. Martin of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office initiated the traffic stop after noticing two occupants dancing through the open sunroof of a BMW SUV. The vehicle’s unusual behavior prompted immediate attention.

Upon interaction, the 26-year-old male driver exhibited signs of intoxication, including glassy eyes and the smell of alcohol, resulting in his arrest. The driver, already with a prior DUI within the last five years, faces charges of DUI second offense, driving without a license, and reckless driving. He is currently held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

The passengers involved were found to be under the influence but were safely handed over to a sober chauffeur. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public: “Drive sober or get pulled over.”
