Monroeville Man Charged in Baldwin Borough Homicide

Allegheny County, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department has charged 22-year-old Adelin Itongwa of Monroeville with the murder of 20-year-old Ramiah Griffin. The tragic incident occurred on February 9, at approximately 4:32 pm, in the 5400 block of Youngridge Drive in Baldwin Borough.

Upon arrival, Baldwin Borough police discovered Griffin with multiple gunshot wounds inside her apartment, where she was pronounced dead at the scene. Griffin’s one-year-old child, also Itongwa’s child, was found unharmed in another room.

Using a combination of witness interviews and surveillance footage, detectives identified Itongwa as the shooter.

He faces charges of criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child and was taken into custody this afternoon. Itongwa will be held at the Allegheny County Jail pending his preliminary arraignment.
