Moped Bandits Strike Again in the Bronx

It was reported to police that on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at approximately 1430 hours, a 31-year-old male victim was in the vicinity of Clay Avenue and East 167 Street when he was approached from behind by two unidentified individuals.

Bronx, NY – A 31-year-old man was robbed of his moped in broad daylight Sunday after being ambushed by two men on Clay Avenue near East 167th Street, the NYPD said.

The victim was approached from behind around 2:30 p.m. when the suspects demanded his property and took off with his black 2025 Flywing moped. The pair fled southbound on East 167th Street on two mopeds and have not been seen since.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Investigators released descriptions of the suspects. The first is described as a male wearing dark clothing and a black face mask. The second is described as a male with a light complexion, last seen in a black t-shirt and black pants.
