SARATOGA COUNTY, NY – John F. Lincoln-Lynch pleaded guilty to Leaving the Scene of an Accident Without Reporting, a class D felony.
The plea comes ahead of jury selection and pertains to a hit-and-run incident that took place on February 27, 2022, on Main Street in South Glens Falls. Lincoln-Lynch struck and killed local resident Paul Trombley before fleeing the scene.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office led a rigorous investigation that identified vehicle fragments as belonging to a Subaru Forester. Their work led to the discovery of Lincoln-Lynch and his vehicle at his South Glens Falls residence on Bluebird Drive.
New York State Police Computer Forensic team’s exhaustive analysis of cell phone data and tower locations provided key evidence. It placed Lincoln-Lynch at the crime scene and directly linked him to the fatal collision. Sentencing is scheduled for October 31.
