Mother Fleeing Gunfire with Her Young Child Struck in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Gunfire erupted in East Kensington, and a mother fleeing the shooting with her young child was shot in the head during the exchange.

Officers responded to the shooting on West Arizona Street in Philadelphia’s 22nd District.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a male victim inside the property with gunshot wounds. Immediate action was taken as police tended to the injured victim, who is currently reported as unresponsive.

As chaos ensued as a female was also struck by gunfire in the ear. The woman attempted to escape the scene with her child when the incident occurred.

Police are investigating the shooting. At this time, no suspects have been identified.
