Motor Vehicle Stolen in Early Morning Incident

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A motor vehicle was reported stolen on Thursday morning from North Sherman Street, according to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department. Officers responded to a theft report at 6:19 a.m. at a residence in the area.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman from Wilkes-Barre, informed the officers that the incident occurred shortly after she started her vehicle at around 6:00 a.m. She left the vehicle unattended to go inside her house and retrieve her purse. Upon returning, she discovered that an unknown individual had stolen her vehicle.

The vehicle is a gray 2006 Honda CRV with Pennsylvania registration number MKY-3713. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident to locate the vehicle and identify the suspect involved in the theft.

In response to the incident, the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department has begun an investigation. They urge anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
