Motorcycle-Pedestrian Collision in Seat Pleasant Results in One Fatality and Serious Injuries

SEAT PLEASANT, MD – A fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian took place on April 20, 2023, in the 6400 block of Central Avenue, resulting in the death of 57-year-old motorcyclist Reginald Thornes of Capitol Heights. The preliminary investigation indicates that Thornes collided with a pedestrian crossing Central Avenue.

Thornes was later pronounced deceased at a hospital, while the pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
