Motorcyclist Thrown Off Bridge into Hackensack River in Crash

SECAUCUS, NJ – A 28-year-old motorcycle rider was killed after he was thrown from his bike into the Hackensack River while crossing the Route 3 West Bridge.

On June 2nd, at approximately 11:03 pm, the Secaucus Police received a call of a motorcyclist involved in a crash on the Route 3 West bridge, whereby the operator was ejected and went over the side of the bridge into the water. Secaucus Fire and Police Department conducted a search of the Hackensack River by boat and located the operator in the river in the area of the Empire Hotel. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Secaucus Police Traffic Bureau is currently investigating the crash.
