Motorcyclist in serious condition after crash in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Friday evening, according to the Frederick Police Department.

The accident occurred around 6:50 p.m. on October 4, 2024, near the intersection of Orchard Way and Apple Way. Police say the driver of a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle lost control and struck several vehicles.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where they remain in serious condition. No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor in the incident. The results of the investigation will be submitted to the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
