Motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash on Woodhaven Road

PHILADELPHIA — A 34-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a vehicle and a box truck on Woodhaven Road (Route 63) near Thornton Road on Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred at approximately 3:01 p.m. while all vehicles were traveling eastbound.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic 20 at 3:19 p.m. Authorities have not released his identity pending notification of his family.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Woodhaven Road were closed for several hours as police conducted an investigation. The road has since reopened.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
