Mount Gilead, Ohio — An Ohio Lottery player claimed a $20,000 prize after purchasing a VIP Millions scratch-off ticket at a local Mount Gilead retailer, officials announced this week.
The winning ticket was sold at Union St Station, located at 215 East Union Street. The ticket is part of the VIP Millions game, a $50 scratch-off that offers top prizes of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of May 1, 38 top prizes remain available.
After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, the winner will receive approximately $14,400. The identity of the player has not been made public.
Winners in Ohio have 180 days from the official closing date of the game to claim their prize. Union St Station is now among the growing list of Ohio businesses that have sold winning VIP Millions tickets.
