MTA Passenger, 50, Beaten and Robbed at Bus Stop

NEW YORK CITY - MAY 7, 2013: MTA Hybrid Electric Bus Route 5 on Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street, New York City, USA.

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A theft occurred on Saturday, October 14, at about 6:00 pm., when a 50-year-old man, having just disembarked from an MTA bus, was confronted by an assailant demanding his property.

Upon the victim’s refusal, the perpetrator slashed the victim, causing wounds to his eyebrow, nose, and left knuckle.

Shortly after, he seized the victim’s bad and escaped.

Described as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a green and black winter coat, gray sweats, and white sneakers, the suspect remains at large.

The NYPD calls for public assistance in identifying the assailant, and information can be conveyed through the Crime Stoppers Hotline or online avenues.
