WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is intensifying efforts to locate a man linked to several armed robberies in Southeast Washington, D.C. Authorities are reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect.
The Seventh District Detectives Office reported an armed robbery incident that occurred on Saturday around 1:26 p.m. The suspect entered a business on the 2200 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue Southeast, displaying a handgun. After demanding money, the suspect received an undisclosed amount from the employee and fled the scene.
Similarly, the Sixth District Detectives Unit is investigating an armed robbery that took place on January 9th. The incident unfolded around 12:20 p.m., when the suspect, after ordering a sandwich at a business on the 1400 block of Marion Berry Avenue Southeast, brandished a gun instead of paying. The suspect then demanded money from the cash register, to which the employee complied and subsequently fled.
Another armed robbery attempt by the same suspect was recorded by the Seventh District Detective’s office on January 23rd, around 7:20 a.m. The suspect entered a business on the 2200 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue Southeast, pointed a handgun at an employee, and demanded money. After receiving the money, the suspect fled.
Furthermore, the Sixth District Detectives Office is investigating an attempted armed robbery on January 26th at approximately 8:45 p.m. The suspect entered a business in the 2700 Block of Marion Barry Avenue Southeast and pointed a firearm at employees. The suspect fled without obtaining any money.
