Multiple Shootings Across Philadelphia Send At Least Five to City Hospitals

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Philadelphia witnessed a series of shootings Friday night into Saturday morning. At around 11:30 pm on Friday, police attended a double shooting on the 2800 block of West Oxford Street. Two men were injured but are currently recuperating.

In a separate incident, at roughly 3:45 am on Saturday in West Philadelphia, shots were fired on the 5900 block of Market Street, injuring a man and a woman.

The woman was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, while the man reached Presbyterian using personal means. Both victims are listed as stable.

Another incident took place at about 1:15 am on Saturday. Police went to the Jeanes Campus of Temple University Hospital following reports of a female gunshot victim.

She had been shot in the foot during an attempted robbery. The assailants left empty-handed. The police are now looking for three male suspects linked to this crime.
