Multiple Shootings Reported Over the Weekend in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, OH – The city of Cincinnati witnessed a spate of shootings over the weekend. Cincinnati City Councilman Seth Walsh expressed concern over the situation, emphasizing that safety should be a priority.

On Sunday, a 14-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly shooting at an officer on Evergreen Avenue in Westwood, with no injuries reported. That same day, another shooting occurred in West Price Hill, where a man barricaded in his home opened fire on the police SWAT team.

Over the course of the weekend, other incidents included a man shot in his vehicle in Roselawn, another person shot near Brandy’s Lounge, a 7-year-old girl shot in a courtyard in North Avondale, and three men shot outside Jacob’s Market in Winton Terrace. All victims are expected to recover.

Additional incidents involved a juvenile girl and several others injured in various shootings. As of now, all incidents are under investigation by the local police department.
