Multiple Shootings Rocked Philadelphia This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A series of shootings over the weekend in Philadelphia resulted in one fatality and at least seven injuries, according to police reports. Early Sunday morning, a 41-year-old man was discovered fatally shot multiple times at a residence in North Philadelphia. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, with his identity yet to be disclosed and no arrests made.

Additional shootings included a 16-year-old boy arriving at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm. The location of the incident that resulted in his injuries remains unknown.

Another shooting occurred following an argument at a corner store in Hunting Park. A 28-year-old man was grazed by a bullet after a verbal altercation escalated outside the store. He was transported to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

In a separate incident in Olney, a 20-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his legs early Sunday while inside a moving vehicle. The assailant reportedly exited a black vehicle and fired at the victim, who is now recovering and expected to survive his injuries.
