Multiple Shots Fired in East Lampeter Township

LANCASTER, PA – The East Lampeter Township Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire on the 300 block of Greenland Drive last Monday at around 4:58 pm.

Officers from the Pennsylvania State Police and West Lampeter Township also arrived at the scene. A male subject was reported to have fired multiple shots from a handgun and was last seen running westbound.

The immediate area was secured and a perimeter established, but the suspect remains unidentified and at large. Preliminary investigation confirmed the presence of numerous spent shell casings. It is currently unknown if anyone was struck by the gunfire. The location is described as a residential cul-de-sac.

Officers conducted a thorough search for additional evidence and any potential victims. The area was reopened to residents at approximately 7:15 pm.

The East Lampeter Township Police Department stated that the investigation is ongoing and further details will be released at a later time.

The incident is not believed to be random, and there is no perceived threat to the neighborhood, according to the police department. Officers continue to maintain a presence in the area.
