Multiple Teens Arrested for Having Guns at Boston Park

BOSTON, MA — On Monday morning, Boston Police officers from District B-2 arrested three individuals, including two juveniles, on firearms and drug-related charges. The arrests occurred at a park located at 30 Mt Pleasant Avenue after officers were alerted to a found firearm.

Jamuan Terrell Coakley-Thomason, 22, from Charlestown, along with a 14-year-old and a 13-year-old male, were apprehended following a brief foot chase. A black Glock 34 with a 10-round magazine, capable of holding up to 30 rounds, was discovered in the backpack of the 13-year-old. Additionally, crack cocaine was found on Coakley-Thomason during the booking process.

Charges against the 13-year-old include unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a large capacity feeding device. The 14-year-old was charged with trespassing, and Coakley-Thomason faces charges for possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute. Coakley-Thomason is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court, and the juveniles will face charges at Boston Juvenile Court.
