Multiple Traffic Charges for Alabama Man in Wellsville

WELLSVILLE, NY — The Wellsville Police Department has reported the arrest of Don M. Chitiyo, a 35-year-old Alabama resident, on multiple traffic-related charges. The arrest occurred on Saturday, July 13, following a traffic stop on Jefferson Street.

Chitiyo faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated (DWI) as an unclassified misdemeanor, DWI with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08% or more, and aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18% or more. Additional infractions include operating a vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failing to keep right, and making an improper or unsafe turn without signaling.

Following the charges, Chitiyo was processed, issued an appearance ticket, and released. He is scheduled to appear in Wellsville Village Court on Monday, July 16, at 4:30 pm.
