Nearly $32.1 Million in Prizes in Maryland Lottery, Scratch-Offs Deliver Biggest Wins

Scratch-Off Lottery Tickets

BROOKLYN PARK, MD – Despite a Powerball jackpot nearing $800 million for the September 25 drawing, it was scratch-off tickets that awarded the Maryland Lottery’s largest prizes for the week ending September 24.

Players from Brooklyn Park, College Park, Hagerstown, and Landover claimed scratch-off prizes of $100,000 each. Additionally, nine other players won $50,000 each playing scratch-off and draw games. In total, 31 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed during the seven-day period, with the Lottery distributing nearly $32.1 million in prizes.

Winners of prizes exceeding $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of the more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to $600.
