New Castle Man Arrested for Impersonating Police Officer

NEW CASTLE, DE – Kevin Hawker, 29, was arrested yesterday after impersonating a police officer and attempting to conduct motor vehicle stops in the New Castle area. Troopers located Hawker after receiving reports of a vehicle utilizing red and blue emergency lights to pull over motorists.

Upon arrest, a loaded .22 caliber handgun was discovered in his vehicle.

Hawker faces several charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and criminal impersonation of a police officer. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $24,700 secured bond.
