JACKSON, N.J. – A newly built light industrial facility at 17 Cpl. Luigi Marciante Jr. Memorial Drive in Jackson Township has become available for sublease, offering up to 13,781 square feet of flexible warehouse and distribution space.
The warehouse is located on the former site of the Jackson Italian American Club, where for decades, Italian Americans gathered regularly. The site and road was named after a New Jersey soldier killed in action during the Global War on Terrorism.
Luigi “Louie” Marciante Jr. was born on November 10, 1981, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. A newlywed and young father, Marciante was four months into his first tour in Iraq when he was granted an 18-day leave to return home for the birth of his son, Lorenzo. Every moment of that visit was precious to him. When he put his uniform back on for his flight to Iraq on August 23, 2007, his thoughts were already on the future—coming home for good, raising his son, and pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a police officer.
