New Jersey COVID-19 Numbers Down Across the Board Today

TRENTON, NJ – As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on in New Jersey, Phil Murphy today reported that three people have died from the virus in the past five days, but did not say whether or not those deaths were patients in long term intensive care or newer COVID-19 patients.

As hospitals across New Jersey begin to clear out COVID-19 patients, today Murphy said those numbers are promising, as well as a continued and steady decrease in positive tests and daily percent positivity over the past 7 days.   The rate of transmission in New Jersey has slightly risen.

Murphy said 366 people remained hospitalized for treatment for COVID-19 and related symptoms.  No new ventilator patients were announced.
