OCEAN CITY, NJ – In a shocking incident, Jeffrey Surgent, 46, was arrested for the alleged decapitation of his mother, Alexandria Surgent, 74, in Ocean City. Police responded to a 911 call from Jeffrey Surgent, who claimed to have killed his mother while experiencing a bipolar episode. Upon arrival, officers discovered him naked and blood-covered, lying on his mother’s headless body.
During the arrest, Surgent admitted to the murder and expressed remorse, subsequently singing “Jesus Loves Me.” He was taken to a mental health facility and faces charges of murder, weapon possession for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful weapon possession.
Alexandria Surgent was remembered by her family on a GoFundMe page as a beloved grandmother, integral to their daily lives. Her family now faces financial hardships due to her loss.
