New Jersey State Police Arrest Fugitive Wanted for Murder

PLAINFIELD, NJ – Kenneth Hill, 21, of Plainfield, N.J. has been arrested by The New Jersey State Police for allegedly shooting and killing a man in Plainfield on March 1.

State Police detectives were contacted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office during the investigation, to assist with locating Hill. Detectives determined that Hill was staying at a residence in Plainfield.

On March 21, Hill was arrested at the residence without incident by detectives from the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit along with members of the United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Task Force -Newark Division, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, and North Plainfield Police Department.

Hill was was lodged at the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing after being turned over to members of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
