New Jersey State Trooper Dies During Training Session

Moorestown, NJ – Colonel Patrick J. Callahan confirmed the death of Trooper II Marcellus E. Bethea, a member of Troop “D” at Moorestown Station, who passed away during a training session. Bethea, part of the 156th State Police Class, had devoted over eight years to the New Jersey State Police, embodying the values of Honor, Duty, and Fidelity.

The NJSP did not release any further details on the matter.
