DENTON, MD — A Caroline County resident has become the first top-prize winner in the Maryland Lottery’s new Gold Bar Bingo game, claiming a $50,000 jackpot just days after the scratch-off debuted.

The $5 ticket, purchased at the Shell station at 1101 Shore Highway in Denton, delivered the game’s first top-tier prize. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Gold Bar Bingo, which launched July 18, features four bingo cards per ticket and began with eight $50,000 prizes. Following this win, seven top prizes remain, along with 10 prizes at the $10,000 level and thousands of others at lower amounts.
