NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — New Rochelle Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Monday morning, August 26, 2024, which left a 43-year-old man with a stab wound.

The incident came to light when the victim walked into Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital at around 7:15 a.m. with a stab wound to his back. Officers responded to the hospital, where the victim recounted the events. He told officers that he had been assaulted by three men on Webster Avenue. The attackers struck him on the head, knocking him to the ground, and demanded his money. After the victim handed over approximately $13.00, he noticed blood on his back but felt no pain at the time. The suspects, described as three Black males dressed in dark clothing, fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim, unaware of the severity of his injury, returned home and informed his wife of the incident. Upon inspecting his back, she realized that he had been stabbed, prompting them to go to the hospital.

New Rochelle Detectives are actively investigating this crime and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 914-654-2270.
