NEW YORK, NY – A New York City police officer found himself on the other side of the law today.
On Wednesday at 1:30 AM, a 26-year-old male NYPD police officer, Elijah Pardieu, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Harassment and Assault in Brooklyn.
The arrest took place within the confines of the 62nd Precinct, and it involved an off-duty NYPD officer facing serious allegations of aggravated harassment and assault.
The officer’s identity was revealed as Elijah Pardieu, and he was taken into custody following an investigation into the reported incident.
In 2020, as a rookie, Pardieu made news when his was kicked into the NYC subway tracks while arresting a homeless man for fare evasion. During the arrest, Pardieu was videoed with his knee on the homeless man’s head as he tried to subdue him.
In 2021, Pardieu saved a man who was shot in the Union Square subway station by a mugger.
