NEW YORK, NY – An off-duty New York City Police Department officer was arrested and charged with assault in Brooklyn on Sunday at approximately 7:53 a.m.
The officer has been identified as Daniyar Nurtaza, a 41-year-old male who serves as an NYPD police officer. Nurtaza was taken into custody following the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the assault remain undisclosed at this time.
