New York Couple slashed in knife attack inside Bronx building as four suspects flee

Bronx, NY – A man and woman were slashed inside a Washington Avenue building Wednesday evening after four unidentified individuals stormed the location and launched a knife attack, police said.

The group entered 1451 Washington Ave. around 6:17 p.m., where they confronted a 32-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man. One of the male suspects pulled a knife and slashed the woman, leaving her with a body wound. Another male suspect attacked the man, slashing him in the head, officials said.

EMS rushed both victims to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

The four suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police released descriptions of the individuals:

  • A male last seen in a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and light-colored shoes.
  • A male last seen in a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and multi-colored sneakers.
  • A male last seen in a white T-shirt, light brown pants, and white sneakers.
  • A female last seen in a light brown shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
