New York State Trooper Gives a Hoot, Saves Owl on I-87

MORIAH, NY – A New York State Police Troop B officer made an unexpected rescue while patrolling southbound on I-87 in the town of Moriah. The trooper observed an owl that appeared to be injured on the roadside.

The officer carefully picked up the owl and moved it to a safe location. After some time, the owl regained alertness and eventually flew away on its own. The incident highlights the trooper’s quick thinking and care for local wildlife.
