Newark Man Wanted for Stealing Car, Scrapping and Selling it For Parts

NEWARK, NJ – A Newark man is being sought by police for stealing a car and scrapping it.

According to Interim Newark Public Safety Director Raul Malave III reports, an arrest warrant has been issued for William Paschall, 46, of Newark, who stole a vehicle that he had scrapped and sold for parts.

“Police responded to a report about a theft that occurred around 11:50 p.m. on July 23, 2022 in the 200 block of W. Runyon Street. Paschall, who is wanted for theft, criminal trespassing and fencing, was captured on surveillance video using a flatbed tow truck to take a 2007 Jeep Cherokee from the owner’s residence without permission. He later had the vehicle sold for parts and scrapped,” Malave said.

Paschall, a Black male, is 5’8” with brown eyes and has a bald head.
