Newark Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges

NEWARK, DE – Members of the Newark Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit apprehended Dontay Purnell, 37, of Wilmington, on Friday.

Purnell, wanted for failing to appear in court, was found in possession of heroin, crack cocaine, and MDMA.

The passenger, Domineeke Seth, 28, of New Castle, was also arrested for hindering prosecution and possession of heroin. Seth, who provided a false name to officers, had outstanding warrants from the New Castle County Police Department.

Purnell faces multiple drug-related charges and was transported to Newark Police headquarters.

Seth was issued a summons and transferred to NCCPD for further processing.
