Newark Police On the Hunt for Flower Pot Thieves

NEWARK, NJ – Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects connected to the theft of a flowerpot on August 31. The theft took place at a residence in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and was captured on the victim’s surveillance camera.

The footage shows two males walking eastbound on Emmet Street before approaching the victim’s residence. They removed a flowerpot from the property and fled in the direction of Broad Street.

The first suspect wore a cream-colored bucket hat, a pink/salmon shirt, and dark pants. The second suspect had on a black hat, black jacket, and blue jeans.

Director Fragé asks anyone with information on the suspects to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All tips will remain confidential and could lead to a reward.
