Newark Police Request Assistance in Identifying Stabbing Suspect

NEWARK, NJ — The Newark Department of Public Safety is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a stabbing incident on Tuesday, December 19.

At about 1:30 a.m., police were called to the 100 block of Ferry Street following a report of a stabbing. Officers found a man with a stab wound to his head, resulting from a fight that escalated from a verbal altercation inside a local bar. The victim was taken to University Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Detectives urge anyone with information about the suspect, last seen heading westbound on Ferry Street, to come forward. Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé emphasizes the importance of community support in swiftly identifying the individual involved.
