Newark Police Request Public Assistance to Identify Robbery Suspects

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is calling for public assistance to identify suspects involved in an armed robbery incident. The crime occurred early on Monday, July 8, 2024, around 12:40 a.m. on the 200 block of Sherman Avenue.

During the incident, three victims were robbed at gunpoint by a group of six suspects. The suspects stole cell phones and then fled west on East Runyon Street. Director Fragé has emphasized the importance of community cooperation in capturing these individuals.
