Newark Police Seek Assistance Identifying Suspects in Knife-Point Robbery

NEWARK, NJ — The Newark Department of Public Safety is reaching out to the community for help in identifying a group of suspects involved in a recent knife-point robbery. Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé has released images of the individuals responsible for the crime that took place on March 26, 2024.

The incident occurred around 6:15 PM in the 500 block of 18th Avenue when a pedestrian was confronted by several Black males. One of the suspects, armed with a knife, demanded the victim’s possessions and subsequently took his wallet. The group then fled the scene heading west on 18th Avenue. Following the robbery, the victim’s credit card was used at a convenience store named Still the Dub, located in the 700 block of Springfield Avenue in Irvington.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
