Newark Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Aggravated Assault Suspects

NEWARK, N.J. — Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in an aggravated assault that took place on August 26, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. at the Dollar General store located in the 400 block of Springfield Avenue.

According to authorities, the suspects entered the store and began chasing the victim. After the incident, the suspects fled on foot toward South 6th Street.

Police have released images of the suspects and are urging anyone with information about their identities or whereabouts to come forward. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Newark Department of Public Safety.
