Newark Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Teen

Newark, NJ — The Newark Department of Public Safety is seeking assistance in locating 15-year-old Juhlia Payne, who was reported missing on Friday, May 3. Payne, a frequent runaway, was last seen in the 200 block of South 8th Street.

Juhlia Payne is described as 4’8” tall and weighing 140 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a school uniform consisting of a blue sweater, white shirt, and gray pants.

Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé urges anyone with information on Payne’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All tips are confidential and may result in a reward.
