Newark Public Safety Director Appeals for Information on Theft Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé is appealing for public assistance, following a theft that occurred on Monday, May 23.

At around 7:14 pm, a man was caught on surveillance video removing a wooden planter crate filled with flowers from a residence on the 600 block of S. 12th Street.

The suspect was captured on the resident’s security camera and is described as a black male, medium build, with short hair.

He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a white shirt, light denim jean shorts, and white sneakers.
