Newport News Police Seek Robbery Suspect

Newport News, VA – On Thursday, the Newport News Police Department (NNPD) responded to a report of a robbery involving a gun at a Bojangles restaurant on Warwick Boulevard. The incident occurred at approximately 4:25 p.m. when an individual entered the restaurant, went to the restroom, and later came out wearing a red mask.

The suspect reportedly brandished a handgun and demanded cash from the register, then fled the scene. Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, around 5-feet-5-inches tall, with a slender build.
