Nineteen-Year-Old Arrested for Aspen Hill Armed Robbery

ASPEN HILL, MD – Hector Zelaya Reyes, 19, was arrested today in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Aspen Hill. The victim, a ride-share driver, picked up Zelaya Reyes and drove him to his destination. Upon arrival, Zelaya Reyes displayed a handgun and demanded money from the driver.

Detectives identified Zelaya Reyes as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant, charging him with armed robbery, first-degree assault, and use of a firearm in the commission of a violent felony.

He is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
